     Pitogo is a small municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, a small municipality with 15 barangays in total. In an old sensus of 2020, there are around 27,000 people populating the area. It is a town besides the sea and it is it's number one source of resources and it's people's number one way of living. As it is by the sea, it is filled with many underrated beautiful beaches. A lot of hidden gems hides in this municipality, breathtaking beaches that you could get mistaken for any of the top tier beaches in the Philippines. So if you're looking for a new, uncrowded place so you and your family can relax while enjoying the magnificent view of the calming beach, Pitogo can offer you many of them. 

PANIKIAN ISLAND

       One famous destination is the Panikian Island. It's a small island in the middle of the ocean in Pitogo that holds a breathtaking beauty. It's also known by the people of the land of Pitogo as the turtle island, as it has a lot of aquatic beauties thriving in the beaches of the island. Lots of sea turtles can be seen in the beaches and even on the shore, if you get lucky you could see some of the baby sea turtles hatch and crawl to the sea. It's crystal clear waters and white sands makes it looks like any of the big time, popular beaches you have heard or ever been. We also have our own white sand beach, the Puting Balas Beach which translates to white sand beach that has a magnificient white sand and very out of this country sandbar where you can pose up until you want. The breezes of the wonderful beaches of Pitogo really shouts a good vacation.

         While the beaches are the main attractions, Pitogo's charm also lies in its warm and welcoming community.
